Waterbury - Annette (Rankin) Nole passed away on November 16, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital after battling various illnesses.
Annette was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1957, where she excelled in her studies. She graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing at the top of her class, going on to practice Nursing at Fairfield Hills. She retired from Cedar Crest Hospital after 23 years as Head Nurse. Anette had made countless trays of food for the needy at the St. Vincent DePaul Shelter on Baldwin St. for the past several years and was a longstanding parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church and Mount Carmel Church and frequently donated to St. Vincent de Paul shelter.
Annette leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Gerald Nole Sr.; her sons Lucien Nole, Gerald Nole Jr. and James Nole, and his wife Lena and son James Nole Jr. She is also survived by her daughter, Michelle Carvalho and her husband Arcilio Carvalho, granddaughter Danielle Perugini and great-granddaughter Nyla Stallings; sisters Katharine Finnegan and Beatrice Muckle; several cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Annette is predeceased by her parents James Walter Rankin and Beatrice Hebert Rankin, her brothers Robert Hamel, Charles Hamel and Harry Hamel and sister Patricia Biancardi.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at the Waterbury Hospital for the care they provided to Annette.
Calling hours will be at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 20. Mass will be held at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 21 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
