Waterbury – Mrs. Cynthia (Fatek) Steponaitis, 74, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 1. She was the widow of Alfred Steponaitis, Jr.

Cynthia was born November 11, 1942 in Milford, daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Anasauskas) Fatek. Raised in Waterbury, she was a graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School. For over twenty years she had been employed as an operator at SNET until her retirement. She had been an active communicant of St. Patrick Church. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends.

She is survived by her son, James Steponaitis and his wife Judith of Waterbury; her daughter, Lynn (Steponaitis) Cossette and her husband James of Waterbury; three grandchildren, JJ, Phoebe and Benjamin; two nieces, Jennifer Stone and Ann Howe; one nephew, Thomas Steponaitis and her best friend Cynthia Stockno. She was predeceased by her sister, Karen Licnikas.

Lynn and Jim would like to thank the staff of Autumn Lake Healthcare for the wonderful care given to their mother.

Arrangements: calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 5, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:15 A.M. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Church for mass at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Police Athletic League of Waterbury 64 Division St. Waterbury, CT 06704.
