Glastonbury – Mr. Robert E. Boisvert, 88, formerly of Waterbury, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Blanche Boisvert.

Robert was born on May 14, 1928 in Waterbury, oldest son of the late August and Mary (Healy) Boisvert. Raised in Waterbury he was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and Post College. After completing a four year apprentice program at Scovill Manufacturing he moved with his wife to East Hartford in 1962. He was employed by United Technologies in East Hartford until his retirement in 1992. A member of the United States Army, he was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American legion and the VFW. He was a diehard Red Sox fan since playing childhood ball with the Waterbury Flash and Red Sox center fielder Jimmy Piersall. He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Black Ledge Country Club where he started the Men’s Club; he was also a member of the East Hartford Golf Course Men’s Club where he enjoyed playing for a number of years. In his later years he enjoyed teaching his grandsons to play golf.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Boisvert and his wife Stephanie of East Hartford and Raymond Boisvert of Glastonbury; one daughter, Alicia Lynn and her husband Darren of Windham; three grandchildren, Braden, Brenna and Bryce; his three sisters-in-law, Claire Adam of Wolcott, Anne Mazzamauro and her husband Joseph of Waterbury and Arlene Boisvert of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Boisvert and his wife Margaret, his brother-in-law, George Boisvert and his wife Constance and his brother-in-law Robert Boisvert. The many lifelong friends who like to gather at Augie and Rays Restaurant in East Hartford will also miss his presence. May whoever now think fondly of Clocker Bob.
