WATERBURY, CT - Samuel Arroyo, 64 yrs old, born on June 3, 1952 to the late Abelardo and Maria (Mendez) Arroyo.  He has moved on to be with his Lord on Wednesday May 17th, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

He was devoted to community service in Waterbury, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Mexico among many other places. He dedicated his service to the church doing missionary and outreach work. 

Samuel is survived by his two children Noel and Rosa (Orlando) Arroyo; four sisters Rosa Maria Arroyo Mendez from Miami, FL, Rebecca Candal (Michael) from Orlando, FL, Esther Arroyo Mendez (Ruben Dario) from Bayamon, PR, Raquel Acosta (Remi) from Dorado, PR; five grandchildren Idaliz, Nelicia, Yenisa, Jaiden and Sofia; and a host of nephews, nieces and grand-nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. A funeral home service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held in Puerto Rico.
