Waterbury – Mr. Adalberto Nunez, 66, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Nilda Quinones.

Adalberto was born July 6, 1951 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, son of the late Andres Nunez and Milagros Valentin. He was a published poet and artist, under the name of El Poeta De La Montana Negro Nunez. He had lived most of life his life in Brooklyn, NY, moving to Waterbury 17 years ago and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Nilda Nunez of Waterbury; one grandson, Ulyses Nunez of Waterbury; seven brothers; two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.m. to 9:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 east main St. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
