Waterbury – Mrs. Agnes (Murphy) Carey, 96, died of natural causes at Meridian Manor in Waterbury. She was the widow of Thomas Carey. Agnes was the daughter of the late Patrick and Brigid (Flynn) Murphy. She worked as a phone operator at Chase Brass and Copper for many years. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by David and Maureen (Carey) Brennan and her favorite great-nephew Jamie Brennan and great-niece Caitlin Khouri and her family. Special thanks to the staff at Meridian Manor for their exceptional care and to the Vitas Hospice Team. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, at 11:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
