Waterbury – Mrs. Aida Luz (Hernandez) Crespo, 56, of Waterbury, passed away on Saturday morning, September 14 at her home. She was the wife of Mr. Juan Crespo.
Aida was born on December 6, 1956 in Manati, Puerto Rico, daughter of Mrs. Maria Rivera and the late Mr. Benito Hernandez. Whether dancing, singing or playing her guitar, Aida had a vast love for music. She also had a love for photography and using her video camera to record all of life's precious moments. Aida also enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with her husband, parents, children and grandchildren and offering help to anyone that needed it.
Besides her husband and mother, Aida is survived by her two daughters; Yolanda Quinones of New York, Marisol Monge and her husband, Jerry, of Waterbury; two sons, Joey Rivera, and Juan Crespo, both of Waterbury; a brother, Ramon Melendez; a half-brother, Francisco Hernandez; a half-sister, Lucy Hernandez; her step dad, Flor Rivera; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A funeral procession will leave Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., on Saturday, September 21 at 9:30 am for a graveside service at New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Rd., Waterbury for 10 am. Family and friends may call on Friday evening, September 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be a short service at 7:00 P.M.
