Obituary
Waterbury- Mr. Alfred E. Conway, 78, of Atwood Ave., died Wednesday, October 10 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Gladys P. (Grochal) Conway.
Mr. Conway was born November 9, 1928 in Waterbury son of the late Edmund and Catherine (Lawlor) Conway. He had retired from the Peerless Screw Machine Co. in Cheshire, had served honorably in the United States Navy from July of 1946 to June of 1950 and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Keith Conway of Prospect and Sean Conway of Waterbury; one brother, Patrick Conway of Waterbury; two sisters, Shirley Thiffault of Simsbury and Joann Beaudoin of Wolcott; four grandchildren, Dallas, Dylan, Dale and Rachel Conway; one niece and several nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to Sacred Heart Church for mass of Christian burial at 11:30 A.M.
