Obituary
Waterbury - Alice M. (Hatch) Yanavich, 79, of East Main Street, died Sunday May 18th peacefully at her home. She was the widower of Peter J. Yanavich.
Alice was born January 29, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Raul and Margaret (King) Hatch. She attended Waterburypublic schools. Alicebrought joy and laughter not only to her family but to her many special friends in the East Gate Community which filled her heart with such joy. Alice was the former secretary of the Community Club and was the current Vice President. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going out to theater shows.
She is survived by a daughter Yvonne and Larry Galo of Naugatuck, two sons; Steven Yanavich of Waterbury, Edward and Karen Yanavich of Naugatuck, two brothers, Jerome Hatch of Florida, Edward Hatch of Waterbury, a special niece Jane Dadamo of Wolcott, two grandchildren Pamela DiMatteo, John Tortorici, a great grandchild Jocelyn DiMatteo and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A Mass will be held Saturday May 24, directly at St. Patrick's Churchof Waterburyat 10:00 A.M. Burial is private. There are no calling hours.
