Waterbury- Mrs. Amparo (Santiago) Rosado, 83, died Wednesday evening, June 5, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of George Rosado.
Mrs. Rosado was born November 25, 1929 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Angel and Patria (Santiago) Santiago. She had retired from Uniroyal after many years. She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who enjoyed bingo, her trips to the casino and was an avid Mets fan.
She is survived by six sons, George Rosado of TX and Edwin, Wilfred, Hector, Wilson and Melvin Rosado all of Waterbury; two daughters, Elizabeth Torres of Oakville and Betsy Rosado of Tolland; three brothers, Juaquin Santiago of PR, Juan Santiago of NY and Angel Luis Santiago, Jr of PR; three sisters, Felicita Santiago, Aida Santiago and Atilana Santiago all of PR; 32 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Wilfred Rosado, Jr; her great-grandson, Xavier E. Outland; two sisters, Angelica Santiago and Luz Celenia Santiago and one brother, Adolfo Santiago.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 10, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 9, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St.
