Obituary
Waterbury – Ana Lydia Planas, 77, died Tuesday, March 29, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Ana was born April 3, 1938 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Planas and Rosa Muniz. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dedicated foster mother to many and enjoyed gardening, politics and keeping up on current events.
She is survived by her children, Onix Planas, Alexis Acevedo, Suomy Acevedo, Darito Planas, Carida Acevedo, Onacey Acevedo, Onyx Acevedo, Jr, Santa Acevedo, Larita Delgado, Asteri Crofut, Shirley Planas and Quiana Iverson; two brothers, Elvin Planas and Johnny Planas; three sisters, Luz Maria Planas, Nerida Planas and Consuelo Planas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, at 11:00 A.M. at the Family Life Center 1335 Thomaston Ave. in Waterbury. The Family Life Center is behind the First Assembly of God Church on Thomaston Ave.
