Obituary
Waterbury – Mr. Andre Vega, Sr, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, at his home. He was the husband of Teresa (Dejesus) Vega.
Andre was born July 4, 1940 in Caguas, Puerto Rice, son of the late Narciso and Juanita Martinez Vega. He had been employed at Clark Brothers Bolt in Southington and retired from the Waterbury Plating Company. He attended sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church and was active at the Daybreak Senior Center.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Jose Vega of Waterbury and Juan Vega of Southington; one daughter, Juanita Vega of Waterbury; his siblings, Lucio Vega, Carmen Garcia, Carlita Rosa, Julia Vega, Margarita Vega, Martin Vega, Lion Vega, Petra Gonzalez; six grandsons, one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Andre Vega, Jr; his daughter, Nancy Vega and brothers, Ramon and Jose Vega.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening, October 20, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
