Obituary
Waterbury- Mrs. Angeline (Fornito) Porto, 83, died Wednesday, April 11, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Frank J. Porto.
Mrs. Porto was born August 20, 1928 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Ursillo) Fornito. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. In 1991 she retired from the Waterbury Plating Company. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the St. Anne Society and the Forever Young Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles and cheering for the New York Yankees.
In addition to her husband of 62 years she is survived by one sister, Mary Fornito of Waterbury and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Daniel Fornito.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Doctors and staff of the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center and St. Mary's Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Angeline.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, at 8:45 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
