WELLESLEY MA - Ann F. (Feduzi) Campion, 88, formerly of Watertown, wife of the late Dr. Francis X. Campion Sr, died Dec. 20, 2009 after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late John and Adelaide Feduzi of Naugatuck.
She graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1938 and entered Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1942. She then earned a B.A. in Nursing from the Catholic University of America, graduating in 1944. She taught nursing arts at St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing until 1957 and is endeared to her many former students. She was active in St. Mary Magdalen parish (Oakville), the Notre Dame Academy and Holy Cross High School Mothers' Clubs. She also volunteered with the Waterbury Chapter of the American Red Cross during and after WWII.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Mary Louise Ashur of Milton MA; sons John G. (Jack) Campion and Dr. Francis X. Campion, Jr. both of Westwood MA, and Daniel M. Campion of Silver Spring MD; son-in-law Dr. George A . Ashur; daughters-in-law Mary Lemire Campion, Colleen Nee Campion, and Katherine Nolan Campion; fifteen grandchildren; a nephew Matthew Feduzi of Wolcott; and a niece Erica (Feduzi) Breen of New Jersey.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 28 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 12 Ardsley Rd. Waterbury. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
