Obituary
Waterbury- Mrs. Anne (Guilfoile) Bedell, 86, died Friday evening, February 19, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John J. Bedell, Sr.
Mrs. Bedell was born December 2, 1923 in Waterbury daughter of the late George and Catherine (Jones) Guilfoile. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, Mrs. Bedell was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Grammar School, Waterbury Catholic High School and Post College. She had been employed at the Waterbury Tool Co., the Mattatuck Manufacturing Co. and retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families. She had been a lifelong volunteer at Blessed Sacrament School; St. Mary's School, Silas Bronson Library and was a communicant and volunteer at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. She will be remembered for her love of family, her community and singing and dancing.
She is survived by one son, John J. Bedell, Jr. of Waterbury; two daughters, Kate Weitzel and her husband Anthony of Upland, CA and Mary Ellen Bedell Andrzejewski and her husband Anthony of Waterbury; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Laura, Spencer and Drew and two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Anthony.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 10:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M.
