Waterbury- Miss Anne Louise Phelan, 77 of Delaware Ave. died Thursday, May 8 at the Waterbury Hospital.
Miss Phelan was born September 30, 1930 in Waterbury daughter of the late Joseph T. and Anne L. (McNamara) Phelan. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School, Annhurst College in South Woodstock, CT and received her Masters Degree from the University of Hartford. She had taught in the Waterbury School system for many years, retiring as a teacher at Crosby High School. She was a member of A.D.K., the Retired Teachers Association and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She is survived by one brother, Joseph T. Phelan of Millinocket, ME; three sisters, Mary Louise Bergin and Jeanne A. Phelan both of Waterbury and Joan Anderson of Pittsfield, MA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William J. Phelan and John E. Phelan.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12 at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to Blessed Sacrament Church for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M.
