Waterbury- Mr. Arthur T. LaVallee, Sr., 81, died Tuesday, May 27, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Hackerman) LaVallee.
Mr. LaVallee was born November 24, 1926 in Waterbury son of the late Joseph F. and Florence (Nutcher) LaVallee. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a truck driver for Lombard Brothers for 29 years. Following his retirement he managed a gas station for Mercury Fuel and was a member of the Teamsters. He had served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by five sons, Raymond T. LaVallee, Jeffrey C. LaVallee, and Arthur W. LaVallee, Jr., all of Waterbury, Donald L. LaVallee of Chatam, NY and Roger J. LaVallee of Oakville; three daughters, Laurie G. Mastros of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lorraine A. Godomski of Waterbury and Lynn L. Fernandez of Wolcott; two sisters, Florence Krampitz of Cheshire and Rita Golden of Wolcott; 26 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and William and two sisters, Marie LaChapelle and Esther LaVallee.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 10:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
