Waterbury- Mrs. Basilia "Abue" Cortina, 93, of Fern St. died Thursday morning June 19 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Saturnino Cortina.

Mrs. Cortina was born October 15, 1914 in Orense, Spain, daughter of the late Baltasar and Ernestina (Grande) Crestelo. She enjoyed knitting for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Ester Ormezzano and her husband Emilio of Waterbury with whom she lived; her daughter-in-law, Irma Cortina of Waterbury; six grandchildren, Omar, Adrianna and Marcelo Ormezzano and Analia, Jorge, Jr and Leo Cortina and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Jorge Cortina, Sr.

Arrangements: Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours are this evening (Friday) from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury.
