Obituary
Harwinton - Bernadette (Ryan) Glen, age 58, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 25 2016. She is survived by her husband Paul Bakutis, children Shannon and Keith, siblings Cheryl Ryan and Bill Ryan, and several nieces and nephews. She was everyone's rock, the first phone call when you needed guidance or someone to listen. Her kind heart, loving demeanor, and caring soul will be missed by all her family and friends.
Bernadette was born in Waterbury on February 14th 1958, daughter of the late William and Ann Ryan. Graduate of John F. Kennedy High school in 1976, and Fairfield University in 1980, Bernadette went on to a successful career working for HCL Axon, Chemtura, Pratt & Whitney, and Ensign Bickford.
The viewing will be held Tuesday, May 31st from 5 to 8 pm at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. The funeral will be held on Wednesday June 1st at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Harwinton, everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
Donations may be made in Bernadette's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
