Obituary
Waterbury – Mrs. Bernice (Atwood) Sauris, 97, of Waterbury, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Apple Rehab Center of Watertown. She was the window of Mr. Charles A. Sauris.
Bernice was born on May 11, 1914 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Harry G. and Mary (Wall) Atwood. A lifetime Waterbury resident, Bernice attended local schools and was a writer for the Republican American for 19 years. Bernice loved drawing and spending time with family and friends.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Bernice Sauris Hopkins of Schenectady, Ny; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Charles Sauris.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
