Waterbury: Berta Fonseca, 92, of North Main Street, died Wednesday, August 29th at Abbott Terrace. She was the widow of Julio Rosa
Mrs. Fonseca was born March 24, 1915 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Angel Fonseca and Aparicia Carrasco. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church.
She was survived by two sons Jesus Rosa of San Lorenzo, PR and Antonio Rosa of Waterbury, four daughters Julia Rosa, Antonia Benitez, Ramona Rodriguez and Carmen Gonzalez all of Waterbury, a brother Guillermo Fonseca of Cayey, PR., fifty six grandchildren, many great grand children and several great great grand children. She was pre deceased by two daughters Herminia Rosa and Estervina Rosa.
Arrangements: Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1st at Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church at 9:00am. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Bergin Funeral Home. 290 East Main Street on Friday from 5 to 8pm.
