Waterbury – Bethzaida Rivera, 47, passed away on Saturday, April 3, at the Waterbury Hospital. Bethzaida was born July 7, 1973 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of Rosa Alicia of Waterbury and the late Cartalino Rivera. The family moved here when she was 17 and she was a graduate of Kennedy High School. She is survived by her children, Kaysha Alicia, Angel Luis Borredo and Anelis Borredo; her siblings, Cartalino Rivera, Jr, Jose Rivera, Angel Rivera, Luis Rivera, Gloria Rivera, Lucy Vroga, Rosa Rivera, Carmen Rivera, Brenda Rivera and Lisandra Rivera and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Burial will be private. All Covid-19 guidelines will be strictly enforced. Face masks are required for entry into the funeral home.
