Obituary

Glastonbury – Mrs. Blanche Olivette Boisvert, 84, passed away on Monday morning, October 12, at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Boisvert, Sr.

Mrs. Boisvert was born on January 13, 1931 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian (Hamel) Boisvert. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Bridgeport. She moved with her husband to East Hartford in 1963 and retired in 1995 from St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center after twenty five years of continued service. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in East Hartford. She was an accomplished seamstress and artist. She painted on slate and over the years distributed well over 100 hand painted slates to family, friends and clients. She enjoyed collecting Hallmark ornaments. In her later years she was devoted to her three grandchildren and enjoyed dancing to the big band sounds of the 30's and 40's.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by two sons, Robert Boisvert and his wife Stephanie of East Hartford and Raymond Boisvert of Glastonbury; one daughter, Alicia Lynn and her husband Darren of Windham; three grandchildren, Braden, Brenna and Bryce; two sisters, Claire Adam of Wolcott and Anne Mazzamauro and her husband Joseph of Waterbury; one brother, Robert Boisvert and his wife Arlene of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her cat Stumpy. She was predeceased by her brother George Boisvert and his wife Constance and Brother-in-law Raymond Boisvert and his wife Margaret. She will be welcomed at Rainbow Bridge by her beloved little dogs, Buttons and Brandie, who have been waiting for her these many years.

Arrangements: Friends may call at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St., Waterbury on Thursday, October 15, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Waterbury. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
