Waterbury – Brenda J. Perez-Minaya, 50, passed away on Sunday, January 21, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald Jose Minaya. Brenda was born March 15, 1973, in New Haven, daughter of Julio and Ruth Martinez Torres of Waterbury. In tribute to an extraordinary soul, our cherished mother. She was the embodiment of love, a guiding light that brought immeasurable joy into our lives. As a single mother, she embraced the role with unparalleled strength and dedication, raising her boys with boundless love and unwavering support. Her laughter echoed through our home, creating a symphony of beautiful memories that will forever resonate in our hearts. Beyond our family, she was a vital thread in the fabric of our community, and her absence is deeply felt. She wasn't just a sun; she was the source of our shared warmth and brightness. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her two sons, Brandon R. Perez and Raphael E.
