Waterbury – Carol A. Moran, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 14, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the longtime loving companion of Victor Sierra. Carol was born March 4, 1939 in York, Maine, daughter of the late Eugen H. and Dora E. (Moore) Thompson. Carol had worked for many years as the head cook at the former Whitewood Rehabilitation Center until her retirement. In addition to Victor, she is survived by her son, Santo Sanchez Moran and his wife Betsie matos of Waterbury; her daughter, Melinda Maria Sanchez of Waterbury; her grandchildren, Damian Sanchez, Jonathan Matos, Jessica Lee Sanchez, with whom she lived, Cynthia Lee DeJesus, Noemi DeJesus, Luis Wingard and Steven Wingard; her great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Sanchez, Marcus Sanchez, D'Lonn Sanchez, Renota Sanchez, Amiaha Torres, Olivia Sanchez and Remeoa Wingard, Jazmine, Wingard, Alicia Wingard, Benjamin Wingard, Ajiy David Green DeJesus, Makayla Mon'ea DeJesus, ZyireGianni Lee DeJesus, Javanie Lee DeJesus and Amari Darell Lee Harris and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 21, at 12:00 P.M. at the Woodtick Cemetery, Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott.
