Obituary
Waterbury- Mr. Charles W. Nelson, 72, died Wednesday, December 1, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Carmen M. Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was born September 23, 1938 in Washington D.C. son of the late Rudolph and Virginia (Valentine) Nelson. He was raised in Virginia and moved to Connecticut in 1962. He had been employed for thirty seven and one half years at Lakewood Metals until his retirement in 1999. He had served honorably in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife of 15 years he is survived by two step sons, Billy Dionne, Jr and Gary Dionne; three daughters, Jeannie Swann, Amelia Vergeli and Maritza Pellot all of Waterbury. He was predeceased by a son Mark Dionne and his daughter Tracy Nelson.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held this morning (Friday) at 10:30 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
