Obituary
Plainville – Mrs. Colleen M. (Coughlin) Lister, 78, of Plainville passed away on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015 at Apple Rehab - Farmington Valley in Plainville. She was the widow of Mr. Donald R. Lister.
Colleen was born on October 10, 1936 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (McGwire) Coughlin. Colleen attended local schools and worked as an LPN for a number of years. She was a longtime member and past president of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church. Colleen loved her trips to Myrtle Beach with her son, camping and she cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Colleen is survived by her children, Kevin Lister of Kentucky, Brian Lister and his wife Lorie of Plainville, Margaret Lister of East Haven, Robert Lister and his wife Linda of Prospect, Heather Gelinas and her husband Robert of Plainville, and Dawn Coughlin, and predeceased by Christopher Coughlin; brothers, Raymond Coughlin and his wife Louise of Waterbury, and Patrick Coughlin and his wife Sharon of Cheshire, and predeceased by Terrance Coughlin; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 22 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Leo the Great Church, 14 Bentwood Dr., Waterbury. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Old St. Joseph Cemetery.
