Obituary
WATERBURY – Mr. Cruz A. Gonzalez, 86, of Coniston Ave. died, Friday at Paradigm Healthcare of Waterbury. He was the widower to Gloria Martinez.
Cruz was born on May 3, 1924 in Penuelas, PR to the late Emilio Velez and Maria I. Gonzalez. He worked for Alloy Foundry in Naugatuck as a steel worker for years before he retired. He was proud to be a member of St. Cecilia Church and then Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon. He will be most remembered for his love of playing the guitar along with spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by a son, Charles Gonzalez, three daughters, Gloria Gonzalez, Edith Gonzalez, Leticia Gonzalez, all of Waterbury, four grandchildren, Che, Javier, Marisol, and Sonya. He was predeceased by his son Marvin Gonzalez.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Monday July, 5 2010 from 6:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Friends are asked to meet directly at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church on Tuesday for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M.
