Obituary
Waterbury - Mrs. Delores (Stocker) Czupryk, 86, of Waterbury, died on Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 2012 at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the beloved wife and best friend of John C. Czupryk.
Delores was born on Nov. 9, 1926 in West Pittston, PA, daughter of the late John Warren and Ethel (Dale) Stocker. A longtime resident of Waterbury, she was employed as a Personnel Director at K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, needlepoint, and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons; Warren Czupryk and his fiancée, Donna Gebow of Southington, John Czupryk and his wife, Donna of Goffstown, New Hampshire, two daughters; Linda Butler and her husband, John of Cheshire, Mimi Therkildsen and her husband, Gary of Wolcott, seven grandchildren; Kristen Gaudiosi, Gary Therkildsen, Jr., Jennifer Czupryk, Christopher Therkildsen, Jessica Jones, John J. Czupryk and Tyler Czupryk, two step-grandchildren; Anthony Furhmann and Diana Gannon, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Melbourne Stocker.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the home of John and Delores, 117 Madison St., Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, 06108 or The Salvation Army, 74 Central Ave, PO Box 43, Waterbury, 06702.
