Naugatuck – Diane D. Mavricz, 68, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Diane was born in Bridgeport on September 5, 1951 to the late Edward Woodrow Duefrene and Lillian (Hayes) Duefrene. Diane had a way of always putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed. Diane is survived by her daughter, Kim Neilander, and her husband, Edmond; her sister, Susan Dowling, and her husband, Mark; her granddaughter, Leah Diane Wagner; her step grandchildren, Cole and Emma Neilander; her nieces and nephew, Caitlin, Mark, and Sarah Dowling; and her former husband and close friend, Rick Mavricz Sr. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Mavricz; and her grandson, Preston Wagner. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Stepney Village Cemetery, 28 Pepper St, Monroe. Meet directly at the cemetery.
