Obituary

Wolcott – Edna Kazlauskas, 96, formerly of Watertown, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on July 3, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born in Waterbury to the late Frank and Elizabeth Moraska. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Vit" Kazlauskas and daughter, Carole Peircey. Edna retired from Eyelet Specialty in Wallingford. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family and friends, cake decorating, crafting and gardening. Edna was an exceptional grandmother and will be fondly remembered for her terrific sense of humor, feisty, outspoken and independent ways, but most of all for her generous heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Gail Chausse, and her husband, Jeff; and Scott Peircey, and his wife, Jadwiga; 5 great grandchildren; Amber Iacobacci, and her husband, Anthony; Austin Chausse, Eric Peircey; Maggie Prigione; Lorraine Prigione; her son in law, Curt Peircey; and several nieces and nephews. Edna was also predeceased by her sisters, Helen Lasky; Gene Marzano; Ann Zukauskas; and her brother, Albert Muraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St, Watertown. Meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Face masks and social distancing are required. Memorial donations may be made in Edna's name to American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
