Waterbury – Mr. Edward B. Yerzak, Sr., 91, passed away on June 18, 2015.
Edward was born on May 15, 1924, in Watertown, CT, to the late Felix and Mary Yerzak. Edward proudly served our country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Following the war he became a Tool & Die maker, working at Scovill Manufacturing Company and then at Timex Corporation for many years until his retirement.
Edward is survived by his sons, Edward Yerzak, Jr. and his wife, Arlette, of Waterbury; and Robert Yerzak and his wife Janet, of Waterbury; his grandchildren, E.J. Yerzak and his wife Cindy, of Watertown; Brian Yerzak and his wife Brandi, of Shelton; Jonica Pagnucco and her husband Marc, of Southington; and Jaime Rotatori and her husband Jay, of Waterbury; three great-grandchildren, Giada, Nick and Brady, and several nieces and nephews. He was a widower of his first wife, Dorothy (Brade) Yerzak, of Waterbury; and was predeceased by his wife, Ann (Lautenschlager) Yerzak, of Waterbury; his grandson, Robert N. Yerzak, of Waterbury; his brother, Zigmond Yezak; and his sisters Bertha Karas and Virginia Knepple.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 22 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St in Waterbury. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament Church for Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
