Obituary
Efrain Almodovar, 62, of Waterbury, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Vitas Innovative Hospice Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Almodovar was born on July 9, 1952, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was the son of the late Silvio and Edith (Mercado) Almodovar.
Mr. Almodovar is survived by his son, Efrain Almodovar Jr.; his siblings Maria Laclaustra, Joaquin and Brunilda, of Waterbury; Elisa and Delia of Milwaukee, WI; Pedro, Daisy, Israel, Ines, and Emilio, of Puerto Rico; and Esther Almodovar, of Virginia; and over 20 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 9:15 a.m. from Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury, to St. Margaret's Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at 289 Willow St. in Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home
Efrain worked for Electro Tech for 27 years. He was a loving brother, great father and wonderful man, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
