Middlebury – Mrs. Elizabeth (Sullivan) Caron, known to all her friends and family as Betty, passed away peacefully at Middlebury Convalescent Home on April 12, 2023. She was the wife of the late James J Caron. Betty was born on June 23, 1928, in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Jerimiah and Mary (Roberts) Sullivan. She attended Waterbury Catholic High School and worked for many years at Winchester Electronics. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Caron) Hayward and her husband, Dr. David Hayward of Prospect and Kathleen (Caron) Schulz and her husband Tim Schulz of Enfield and by a grandchild, River Schulz. She is also survived by her sister Joan Francis of Thomaston and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation for Middlebury Convalescent Home and Vitas Hospice staff. A graveside ceremony will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a future date.
