Waterbury- Mrs. Elizabeth C. "Betty" (Dzinski) Vaughn, 87, died Tuesday morning, May 18, at the Alzheimer's Resource Center of Connecticut in Plantsville. She was the widow of Ralph Vaughn, Jr.
Mrs. Vaughn was born November 10, 1922 in Torrington daughter of the late Joseph B. and Susan (Bednartisk) Dzinski. Betty was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and had attended Post College. She had served as an officer of the Clapp Rose and Vaughn Electrical Contracting Co. and retired from the City of Waterbury as a secretary in the Detective Bureau of the Waterbury Police Department. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her nieces, nephews and family.
She is survived by her brother, Bernard J. "Bernie" Dzinski and his wife Joyce of Southbury and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anne Lahey, Irene Hardt and Dorothy Dillon.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Alzheimer's Resource Center for the loving care Betty received while a resident.
