Obituary
Waterbury- Mrs. Evelyn Morales, 60, died Friday, August 24, at the Yale New Haven Hospital.
Evelyn was born June 7, 1952 in New York, NY, daughter of Petra (Casonova) Maldonado of New Britain and the late Felipe Maldonado. Evelyn moved to Waterbury at the age of 17 and was a graduate of Crosby High School. She had been employed by the City of Waterbury for twenty years, working in the Health Department as a program coordinator. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her mother she is survived by one son, Philip Morales of Ashburn, VA; three daughters, Yvette Morales of Waterbury, Nicole Y. Delgado and her husband Victor of Waterbury and Yolanda Morales of Waterbury; one brother, Philip Maldonado of Wolcott; one sister, Sandra Santana of East Hartford; nine grandchildren, Dejhon, Jose, Alanna, Philip, Janiyah, Ava, Jose, Freddy and Adrian.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be private in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, August 27, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
