Waterbury – Faustino Mercado Quinones, 90, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 surrounded by family. He was the husband of Isabel Hernandez. Faustino was born on February 15, 1928 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, son of the late Ceferino Mercado and Carmen Quinones. Besides his wife, Faustino is survived by his daughter Maria Rivera; his grandchildren, Natasha and Carmen; three great-grandchildren Juan, Radamez and Marqus; nieces Burny and Maria; his best friend Josefa Gonzalez; and the entire Almodovar Mercado families. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:30 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St. Waterbury. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. at the Shrine of St Anne Church (All Saints/Todos los Santos Parish) 515 S Main St, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
