Waterbury – Fernando A. Gutierrez, 64, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. Fernando was born on January 10, 1954 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of the late Americo and Fortuna (Lugo) Gutierrez. Fernando enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, and he was an avid penny collector. Fernando is survived by two sisters, Gloria Arroyo and her husband Heriberto, and Carmen Otano and her husband Angel; his brother Americo Gutierrez Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Martha and Zulma. Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne Church, 515 South Main St. Prayers of committal will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
