Waterbury Festim Meraku, 60, passed away on Friday morning, March 1, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Luljeta (Qazimllari) Meraku. Festim was born May 29, 1963, in Bilisht, Albania, son of the late Istref and Rahime (Braho) Meraku. In addition to his wife he leaves his son, Enea Meraku of Waterbury; his daughter, Marsela Meraku of San Diego, CA; his brother, Raimond Meraku of Albania; three sisters, Zana Meraku, Aurela Meraku and Rukie Meraku, all of Albania; two grandchildren, Thomas and Tristan Lanier and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Tuesday morning, March 5, at 11:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Friends may visit with Festim's family from 9:30 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
