Fleurette Lowe "MOM" Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother
Waterbury---Mrs. Fleurette (Lamarre) Lowe, age 98 died peacefully surrounded by her family on June 25, 2015 at her home. Fleurette was known as "MOM" to all her family. She was the widow of James "Jim" Lowe Sr. to whom she was married for 50 years. Fleurette was born on April 10, 1917, in the County of Shawinigan Quebec Canada. She was the daughter of the late Simeon and Angeline (Houle) Lamarre. Fleurette and her family moved to Connecticut when she was 6 years old and attended St. Ann's Grammar School. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anne's Church and was very involved in the parish for many years as a member of the Ladies Guild, and Mothers Club while raising her family. She also was a longtime communicant of St. Leo the Great Church, and Blessed Sacrament Church. She was also an active member of the South End Seniors. Mom enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially holidays, playing cards, baking, and crocheting many afghans and scarves for her family and for charitable organizations. Mom always brought her made-from-scratch dessert "SQUARE" to family gatherings. She was employed for many years at Scovill Manufacturing before she retired. Fleurette is survived by her two sons, James Lowe Jr., Charles Lowe and his wife Marge; her two daughters Joan Muccino and her husband Robert Sr. and Arlette Yerzak and her husband Edward with whom she lived; 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews . Fleurette was predeceased by her son, Gary Lowe and her two sisters Lucille Lamarre and Cecile Galuppo.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Tuesday June 30, 2015 8 a.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street Waterbury , to Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin Street Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Old Pine Grove Cemetery Waterbury. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8p.m at the funeral home.
