Waterbury- Mr. Francis W. Killeen, 84, died Wednesday, November 2, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Killeen was born June 7, 1927 in Waterbury son of the late Michael C. and Katherine (Sullivan) Killeen. Raised in Waterbury, Francis was a graduate of Sprague Grammar School and Crosby High School and received a degree in accounting from Post Junior College. He had been employed at the Naugatuck Chemical Co. and retired form Pratt and Whitney in Southington as a time keeper. He had served honorably in the United States Army during the occupation of Japan at the end of WWII, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sheridan Council # 24 in Waterbury and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.
He is survived by two brothers, James J. Killeen of Middlebury and Thomas A. Killeen of Brookfield and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph C., Michael B. and John V. Killeen and one sister, Mary A. Fitzgerald.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 9:00 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to St. Michael's Church for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Calling hours are Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
