Waterbury – Francisco Rodriguez, 61, of Waterbury, passed away on Sunday, December 1 at his home surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Mavel (Arroyo) Rodriguez for 39 years. Francisco was born on January 29, 1958 in Puerto Rico, son of Ezequiel and Monserrate Rodriguez. Francisco was an avid athlete and enjoyed boxing. He was also a skilled mechanic, loved tending his garden, and was proud of his old school bike collection. Most of all, Francisco cherished the time he was able to spend with his loving family. Besides his wife Mavel, Francisco is survived by four children, Sasha Li Rodriguez, Talia T. Rodriguez and her partner William Beltran, Nicholas Dunn, and Carlos Rodriguez; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Rodriguez, Jimmy Draughn, Jonathan Torres, Terrell Upchurch, Bella Mae Beltran, Isabel Dunn, and Oliva Dunn; ten brothers and sister, Radames, Elisa, Maria Luisa, Angela, Rosy, Julio, Julia, Manuel, Ramon, and Aracelis; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 5 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (All Saints / Todos los Santos Parish), 309 S. Main St., Waterbury. Burial will be held privately.
