Obituary
Waterbury- Mr. Francisco "Guelin" Rodriguez, 86, died Monday, February 13, at Grove Manor. He was the husband of the late Clotilde (Maldonado) Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez was born February 12, 1926 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico. He served honorably in the United States Army, loved baseball, cooking and his time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Henry Rodriguez of Waterbury; six daughters, Marilyn Rodriguez of PR, Jacqueline Rodriguez of Norwich, Nancy Rodriguez, Rosalie Rodriguez and Wanda Rodriguez all of New London and Melissa Velez of Ansonia; her sister- in- law Matilde Rodriguez and her husband Hector; two brother-in-laws, Felix and Domingo Maldonado; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Brenes and the staff of Grove Manor for the care given to their father during his stay there.
Arrangements: A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, February 17, at 12:00 P.M. at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury.
