Waterbury - Mrs. Gertrude Lynette (Byars) Person, 66, passed away on Friday, May 8, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Charles Person of Waterbury.

Gertrude was born September 29, 1953 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Albert R. and Lommie L. Byars.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Donyae Godley of Sutherlin, Oregon; her siblings, Albert Byars, Jr, Betty Ramey, Mattie Ellis, Willie T. Byars, Patricia Newson, Josephine Byars, Laura Byars and Vincent Byars and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Claude, Eugene and Dennis.
