Obituary
Waterbury- Mrs. Gladys Cabrera, 72, died Saturday, September 19, at Meridian Manor. She was the widow of Frank Cabrera.
Mrs. Cabrera was born April 6, 1937 in Juncos, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Augustine Fontan and Juana Correra. She had retired from General Electric in Plainville. Gladys had a great love for music and the arts and enjoyed crocheting. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Tripodo of Waterbury; one daughter, Lorraine Irizarry of Waterbury; four brothers, Juan Ramon Fontan of Waterbury, Angel Fontan of Oakville, Jorge Wilfredo Fontan of Waterbury and Hector Fontan of Stratford; five grandchildren, Shakira Jacobs Vazquez, Natasha Jacobs, Elanah Irizarry, Marc Anthony Tripodo and Alexander Tripodo; one great grandson, Elijah Vazquez and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lydia Velez and Carmen D. Carrasquillo and one brother, Jose Delores.
