Wolcott - Gregg Richard Nolan, 69, died at his home on May 4, 2016, suddenly and unexpectedly of cardiac arrest. His family was with him when he died.
He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on March 9, 1947, to William Nolan and Evelyn Seery Nolan. He leaves behind his wife of thirty-nine years, Katherine R. Nolan, his son Gregory Nolan, his daughters Deirdre Nolan and Mary Nolan, his brother Kim Nolan, and several nieces and nephews. His older brother, William Nolan, predeceased him.
He was a lifelong communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and died while preparing to attend his hour of perpetual adoration of the Eucharist at the Basilica.
Gregg Nolan was a graduate of Wilby High School and Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. After college, he served in the Connecticut National Guard. He was active as a range officer at Chase Rifle and Pistol Range in Waterbury, Connecticut, supervising the range each Sunday morning and was a member of the Connecticut Citizens Defense League. He was chief executive officer of GFE Corp and worked in finance with his partners George Norman and Chip Agule.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 8, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the
Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Committal prayers will follow in New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
