Waterbury – Harry George Morrison, 82, passed away peacefully at Vitas Inpatient Hospice at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday morning, August 5. George was born September 27, 1941, in Waterbury, son of the late George and Marion (Shimkus) Morrison. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He had a green thumb and was known for his beautiful gardens full of vegetables and flowers. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and cooking. He had an incredible sense of humor and always made people laugh, he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Morrison of Naugatuck; his granddaughter, Patricia Morrison and her fiancé Jeffrey Cipriano of Prospect; two stepdaughters, Lisa Picanso and Lynn Picanso, both of Waterbury; two step grandsons, David Martelli, Jr and Joshua Martelli both of Waterbury, along with a step great grandson David Martelli III, and his sister, Margaret Morrison-Leigh of ME. He was predeceased by his former wife and friend, Patricia (Capaldo) Morrison and his brother, John Morrison All funeral services are private.
