Waterbury – Hector L. Rodriguez, 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was the loving husband of Teresa (Santiago) Rodriguez.

Hector was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, on January 14, 1936 to the late Ramon Rodrigues Quinones and Jacovina Rodriguez. He served his country proudly in the Army. Hector retired from Highland Manufacturing in Wolcott in 1997. He was a hard worker, very social, and loved reading the newspaper, especially the Sports section.

Including his wife, Teresa, Hector is survived by his brother, Ramon Rodriguez; his sisters, America Rodriguez and Cruz Rodriguez; Evelyn Santiago, who was like a daughter; and many nieces and nephews including, Wanda, Linda, Kimberly, Brenda, and Alex.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from Bergin Funeral Home to Sacred Heart, 13 Wolcott Street, Waterbury for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery with Military honors.
