Obituary
Cheshire – Mr. Henry A. Swiech, 95, a longtime resident of Rice Ave., passed away on Friday, September 4, at the Cheshire Regional Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Ruth W. (Lewandoski) Swiech.
Henry was born February 29, 1920 in Waterbury, son of the late Zygmunt J. and Katherine (Kosakowski) Swiech. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School class of 1938. He had served honorably in the United States Coast Guard and was a member of the Sheet Metal Union Local #40, of which he was the oldest living member. He had been a longtime communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Waterbury.
He is survived by his son, Edward S. Swiech of Boston, MA and his daughter, Gayle Swiech of Cheshire. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Swiech.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:30 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church for a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. Friends may call at the funeral from 9:00 A.M. until time to leave in procession for mass. Committal prayers will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
