Waterbury – Mrs. Hildegard (Habel) Shehu, 86, passed away on Sunday morning, June 30, at her home. She was the wife of Xhevdet Shehu. Mrs. Shehu was born October 10, 1932 in Vaterstetten, Germany, daughter of the late Leopold and Anna (Fraken) Habel. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Karl Shehu of Waterbury; one sister, Lucy Lami of Wolcott; four brothers in Germany; four grandchildren, Karl D. Shehu, Eric Shehu, Lisa Marie Shehu and Belinda Guessford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Walter Shehu. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 10:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 2, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
